Bryan Dean Trio is consist of three uniquely talented musicians.
Bryan Dean, a Tucson native, has been known as one of the best guitar players in town. Among his long list of 'resume' includes Sill Johnson, George Howard, Tony and the Torpedoes, Lori Davidson and of course, Sam Taylor.
Relatively recently, Bryan was discovered to be a talented song writer as well with the Trio's debut album, "Pink Elephant." Songs with unparalleled but relatable point of view, some times painfully true to life, mixed with clever irony and humor have received rave reviews from fans and media.
The BDT's drummer, Ralph Gilmore is also in Tucson's top percussionist list.
Ralph, not only "keeps the beat" but he grabs it, twists it, turns it upside-down and inside-out, takes the band and audience to a wild musical ride at the right moments. He loves his instruments so much that each of his cymbals has a name!
KOKO is the bass player of the trio. Although her professional musical career is not quite as long as that of Dean's or Gilmore 's, the maturity of her playing became irreplaceable to the group.
She is almost always quiet herself but she lets her bass do all the "talking."
Her funky and solid bass lines hold the bottom of the BDT together.
BDT offers more than music but an experience. One might have seen them perform number of times but it guarantees no two shows are alike -- not even one song is played the same - ol' way.
Currently the trio is cooking its second album, "Big Storm."
